Which car rental WordPress theme should you use?
For years the answer was a premium car rental theme bundled with a booking plugin. That made sense when page builders were weak and booking systems were hard to find. Neither is true any more.
Today a car rental theme mostly sells you a design — and a page builder gives you the same design freedom without locking your content into one vendor’s shortcodes. The part that actually matters is the booking engine underneath.
So the recommendation is a plain, fast theme plus a real rental plugin. If you later want a finished design rather than a blank canvas, import a starter site instead of buying a theme.

Is it really free?
RentoKing has a free version on WordPress.org that runs a complete rental site. There is a paid Pro version with additional features, but the free version is not a time-limited trial.
Do I need Elementor Pro?
No. Everything described here works with the free version of Elementor.
What happened to the WP Car Rental theme?
It reached end of life. It was built around WPBakery and designed to sit on top of a booking plugin we did not develop ourselves. It is no longer sold or maintained — we build RentoKing instead.
I use Car Rental System by KK_Matt. Can I move my data?
Yes. Install RentoKing, then install the free migration extension from RentoKing → Extensions in your dashboard. It brings fleet, locations, pricing and bookings across. See the migration guide.
Can I use a different theme?
Yes. RentoKing is a plugin, so it works with any well-built WordPress theme. Hello Elementor is the recommendation because it is fast and unopinionated, not because it is required.
