Date picker format not correct on mobile

As the subject suggest, the date picker on the main search form is not adhering to the date format set in WP and CRS which are both set to dd/mm/yy

This renders search via mobile broken as you cannot search, it always shows an error "Pick-up is not possible on the 05/07/2019..."

 

Even though I did not search for 05/07/2019 - I searched for 25/07/2019

 

Also, when I select the date from the date-picker, the format also displays wrong: 07/25/2019 instead of 25/07/2019.

 

This works as expected on desktop, but not on mobile!

Please assist urgently.

Hello Hannes,

I believe that you are using native datepicker for mobiles, which is in "experimental" phase. Please, change to any other method, or set date format to Y/m/d, until next update that will we soon.

Thanks, this sorts out the failed error message, however now I sit with 2 different date formats.

 

Date Picker shows m/d/y and the rest is y/m/d.

 

Please advise how I can fix this?

Hello Hannes, Digging on the issue, I found the following post, made by a Chrome browser developer: Link to post

In resume, what it says is that inputs type "date", will use operating system (Windows, IOS) default format, and it cant be changed.

We already solved the issue with other date formats, to be able to continue de booking process; the update with the fix will be pulished soon.

Only problem we see, is that after this, you might see it properly, while other user wont, as its operating system configuration can be diferent.

Therefore the use of native selector for devices is still on experimental phase.

Another solution would be to use datepicker for devices, until experimental phase has passed.
