WPML - how to translate plugin strings

Hello,

I am sorry for started a thread at "pre-purchase-questions", from subforum.

I wanted to ask how we can translate plugin words, as "GearBox", "Pick up information" and similarities ?

I tried to scan plugin with WPML and than search all strings as "Gearbox' but there is no results, same as for "puck up information" and "return information".

Hello Mario,

All car rental system plugin strings, are located at its files.

If you are using car rental system version 5.0, you can find them at

wp-content/plugins/NativeRentalSystem/Extensions/CarRental/Languages

and if you are using car rental system version 5.0.2, you can find them at

wp-content/plugins/FleetManagement/Languages

Hello,

Translation is located where you said but how should we use it via WPML, since it is WPML ready?

edit: I included all car rental plugins in WPML search (in Post Types Translation in WPML) but still, "Gearbox" cannot be founded even that is in en_US in nativeRental/languages... hmm

If im not wrong, index for that wording is NRS_TRANSMISSION_TYPE_TEXT

Hello Mario,

Im sorry for the late response, for some reason we where no notified about this message.

Plugin strings can be only translated as I commneted. Rest of page content can be translated regulary with WPML.

Hello,

In that case, is there a possibility to use default strings on English version, but on additional language version to use translation as you reccomended?

I saw that https://marbellarentacar.es/ is using same template and they have that functionality, but I am not sure how to do it, in order to have it done like in previous aforementioned way.

Hello Mario,

Yes, they are doing it that way, using transposh filter plugin. But If Im not wrong plugin wont redirect to right url on search submit. It would need an samll customization. We might add this to be auto if transposh is active on next update.

Can anybody advise to me with WPML can I translate the Car rental plugin and does the free version WPML work only for content translation ?

Hello equremaga,

You can use WPML to translate your site, since plugin and theme are WPML ready. WPML allows to add as many languages as you desire.
If Im not wrong, there is no free version for WPML.
